We’re humans — wired for story; the only species that live by the stories we’re told and the stories we tell. If we want to change anything in our lives, we have to change the stories.
Stories drive reactions, emotions, choices, relationships, and what we believe is possible. The Storysphere is where all stories live and these stories come from everywhere — our childhoods, the culture, the news cycle, the voice in our head whispering you’re not ready yet.
At Storysphere Central, we’re a community of curious humans exploring the hidden stories that shape our lives: the challenges, disappointments, perceived limitations, as well as inspiration and joy.
Together, we’ll learn to put into practice strategies based on neuroscience, coaching, mindfulness, and creativity. All in the service of creating more wonderful lives and a more wonderful world.

Why Stories Matter
Stories masquerade as reality
We generally think of a story as fiction, an account of imaginary or real people and events told for learning or entertainment. But when it comes to our personal lives, we tend to believe our thoughts, because we are not works of fiction. Or are we?
How can we know whether the fundamental stories that are archived in our primal brains: those that shape every emotion we feel and decision we make, those hand-me-downs from family, culture, and lived experience are realities or stories?
That’s both a problem –– and an invitation.
The problem is being stuck inside a limited reality. The invitation is to adopt a story mindset; An approach that offers you the ability to edit, recreate, embrace or discard the underlying drivers of your life.
And this is just the beginning. Beyond the stories that are archived in our own brains, we are subject to the stories we are told by friends, family, politicians, pundits, and the media.
The Storysphere is where all these stories live. The purpose of Storysphere Central is to wake up to the profound influence of stories — and learn how to use them to our advantage.

Sometimes, our inner narrator is wise. Other times, it’s just trying to keep us alive.
Since our primal brain’s primary function is survival, it responds to threats — real or imagined — by pulling up old, pre-loaded stories designed to protect us.
Imagine walking into a room full of people you don’t know.
Your heart rate spikes. Your brain screams or whispers, I don’t belong here.
You shrink a little. Maybe you scan your phone, hang back, or just leave.
I don’t belong here. That’s a story that arrived uninvited but shaped your entire experience.
Now imagine noticing that story as it rises.
You pause. You breathe and thank your brain for offering a story of caution.
Then you remember who you really are –– and choose a different story.
That’s awareness. That’s regulation. That’s agency.
